Rotational molding process.

Rotational molding, also known as rotational molding or rotational casting, is a processing method for making hollow plastic products. This process is particularly suitable for the production of large, thick-walled or complex-shaped plastic parts. The basic steps of the rotational molding process are as follows:

1. Prepare raw materials: Prepare the plastic raw materials (usually in powder form). These raw materials can be polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polyamide, etc.

2. Load the mold: Load an appropriate amount of plastic powder into a rotatable mold. The design of the mold depends on the shape of the final product.

3. Heating and rotating: Place the mold containing plastic powder in the rotational molding machine. The machine heats and rotates the mold so that the plastic powder gradually melts and is evenly distributed on the inner wall of the mold.

4. Cooling: After the plastic melts and evenly covers the inner wall of the mold, the mold continues to rotate, but the heating stops to allow the plastic to cool and solidify.

5. Demolding: After the plastic is completely solidified, the mold is opened and the molded product is taken out.

6. Post-processing: Depending on the needs, some post-processing may be required, such as flash removal, grinding, assembly, etc.
